La Grande Ruota’s quick cook polenta is a very convenient grain to have on hand. Ready in 5 minutes, simply add your choice of flavour boosters and serve it with grilled protein or vegetables.

Serves 4-6

1 litre water, stock or milk (or a combination of these to suit)
1 tsp salt
250g La Grande Ruota yellow quick cook polenta
2 Tbsp butter
½ cup fresh grated Parmigiano Reggiano 

Bring the water (stock or milk) and salt to the boil in a large, heavy pot.  Add the polenta in a thin stream while whisking continuously. 

Stir vigorously for 1 minute then reduce heat to medium-low. 

Continue stirring for 3-4 minutes or so until the polenta is very thick.

Add freshly grated Parmigiano and stir until incorporated. Add in the butter and stir until combined.

Sprinkle with more freshly grated Parmigiano if desired.

Serving suggestion: Our pesto and pastes are a great way to add flavour to your polenta. Simply stir your desired pesto or paste into the polenta while still hot until well combined.
