The grapes for Recioto are dried in a cool, airy room for up to 4 months until semidry, which produces concentrated sugars and flavours, resulting in a sweet red wine. Almost opaque red with aromas of morello cherry preserves, subtle balsamic notes, and chocolate. The palate is smooth, with generous fruit and elegant, subtle tannins.
