Gruyère is a dense Swiss, alpine cheese with an aroma of meadow flowers. Gruyère d'Alpage is produced only in summer, from mid-May to mid-October approximately. The cows go up to the mountain pasture and graze a generous and varied grass. They give a milk rich in aroma creating a complex flavour with earthy, nutty characteristics. Well-deserving of a spot on your cheese platter or perfect for a quintessentially Swiss fondue!
