NUMBER 29
The olive trees at number 29 are a mixture of Mediterranean varietals that have all been acclimatised to New Zealand conditions. They have been selected for their good growth and cropping yields. Most of the olives are grown on the grassy slopes of Waiheke Island, where the warm temperatures and poor soils that make the excellent world-acclaimed Waiheke wines, also enable the olive fruit to obtain optimum ripening and flavour. New Zealand olive oils have recently been awarded with medals nationally and internationally including a Supreme Gold medal.
