Skandinavisk was started by a curious English chap, Shaun, who fell in love with a blonde Scandinavian gardener and never left. He was joined by a second English emigrant, Gerry, who shared his love for Scandinavia and a Danish designer, Line, who captured their combined experiences and translated it all into Skandinavisk's distinctive design DNA.

Trading since 2013, Skandinavisk’s home and body fragrance collections are inspired by almost 20 years of travels across the Nordic region. They create subtle, refined scents based on aspects of Scandinavia they consider to be precious to the inhabitants and exotic to the outside world, and blend them with colour, symbols and a single local word rich with meaning to create unique impressions of Scandinavia.

Skandinavisk takes environmental responsibility seriously:

Swedish rapeseed wax is used for their candles that is traceable, sustainably farmed and non-GMO. The wax is blended to burn stably and slowly, with less overall environmental impact than traditional waxes. The candle glass is produced in the EU, with up to 30% recycled materials, coloured paint from metal-free water dyes and an engraved FSC- certified beechwood lid from European forests - designed for reuse long after the wax is burnt.

Skandinavisk’s packaging card is sourced from managed Swedish forests, with natural colour dyes and is FSC-certified. Their unique 450 ml pump bottle and 225 ml tube are made from renewably sourced and recyclable bioplastics. The new sizes also help reduce the ratio of packaging to formula.

Skandinavisk uses only natural organic formulations for the skin, combining natural essential oils with safe synthetic ingredients to create unique fragrance impressions of Scandinavia. All Skandinavisk’s hand and body care is made in Denmark. All products are vegan and cruelty-free.
