Since 1993, Jacqui and Philip Dixon have been sourcing fine foods primarily from Italy, Spain and France. Most suppliers are often family-run businesses who use traditional methods of production to create outstanding products. Jacqui and Philip travel to Europe to source new, interesting products, to check product quality and collect information on upcoming trends.
As a result, Sabato has been the first to introduce many key products to New Zealand foodies. Outstanding products, such as La Chinata smoked paprika, Calogiuri Vincotto, El Navarrico piquillo pimientos and Valrhona chocolate, to name but a few.
