This all butter fruit cake is made with vine fruits soaked overnight in French brandy.
A deliciously dark, moist and rich cake, it includes juicy sultanas, raisins, currants, sumptuous cherries, tangy orange and lemon peel and a pinch of spice. The subtle flavour of the French brandy provides a very sophisticated taste and a distinctive fragrance, reminiscent of Christmas pudding.
It contains no artificial colours or flavours, no palm oil, and has been made to a nut-free recipe.
The cake comes presented in a keepsake vintage-style tin, exclusive to Buckingham, decorated with a specially commissioned design in embossed Victorian style. Tin measures 130mm in diameter x 80mm high.
