Lemon yellow in colour with bright, green tones. Succulent white and tropical fruit, citrus, floral notes, are complemented by deep, toasty and spicy aromas. On the palate, this wine is refreshing and well structured, with citrus and white fruit notes dominating, followed by a lightly toasted finish.

What a find! Delicious lemon and subtle rich tea biscuit flavours, plenty of concentration and texture, bright fresh acidity, and just enough creamy oak influence to hold everything together. A lovely, subtle salinity develops in the palate and continues through to the long finish, for extra complexity. Thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing, this dry white is a must for summer dining and is probably the best match for Paella we have tasted.

Pair with paella, pasta, risotto, fish, or a hard sheep cheese.

In 1987, Gonzalo Antón, together with a group of friends and business associates from nearby Vitoria-Gasteiz, embarked on a pioneering project in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.

The village of Villabuena de Álava, where his family had long cultivated vineyards, was chosen as the site for an innovative winery dedicated to crafting fine wines. Drawing on Gonzalo Antón’s experience in the hotel and restaurant sector, Bodegas Izadi quickly gained recognition within gastronomic circles. At the same time, the adoption of modern winemaking techniques and a continuous pursuit of excellence gradually defined the house style.

A steadfast commitment to quality, a deep connection to gastronomy, and a profound respect for the land remain the cornerstones of Bodegas Izadi.
